At Rio Limpio, visitors experience the natural beauty of the area along with the simplicity and diversity of the setting – fresh mountain air, rich natural resources and a colorful cultural history dating back to the ancient Taino civilization.
It’s a place where you can take a break from the clutter of the city and enjoy the peace and isolation of our surroundings. Rio Limpio offers you a variety of activities that include horseback riding, coffee tours, archeological sites, cycling, and bird watching.
We also offer rustic lodging facilities, camping, a bar/restaurant, conference rooms, and gift shop. One of the greatest draws of Rio Limpio is our close proximity to “Nalga de Maco” National Park, a 278 sq. km. protected home to a number of endemic birds, amphibians, and flora threatened by extinction. We offer the opportunity for you to learn the ways in which we take care of our land, experience our living culture, and discover our natural environment. Your time with us is a chance to not only see but also participate in the lifestyle our community lives in Rio Limpio.
Making a Difference:
Rio Limpio provides a platform for community products and services to come together and support Rio Limpio’s efforts in environmental protection. We focus on environmental quality, hospitality education, water production, and organic production as part of our efforts to link the Rio Limpio project with the nature and community surrounding it. In our efforts to raise sustainability in the area, solar panels are used throughout the community.
There is classification system separating solid waste and using the biodegradable residue in the fertilization of the garden. 100% of the food, drinks, products, and services offered in Rio Limpio are local. In addition, all of the employees are locals committed to improving the wellbeing of the community and environment.
