La Loma Jungle Lodge and Chocolate Farm is a truly special destination that enables visitors to experience Panama in an unexpected way.

La Loma is a working cacao farm that hosts a small number of overnight guests in their 3 hillside ranchos, overlooking a secluded bay. Accessible only by boat, La Loma provides privacy and tranquility in each of the beautifully simple and comfortable retreats. Guests experience life on a tropical farm: exploring organic gardens and groves of cacao (chocolate), banana, and coconut trees, roasting cacao beans for chocolate cake to accompany afternoon tea, and hand-picking the tropical fruit, salad leaves, and herbs that will be featured on the day's menu. In addition to participating in farm life, La Loma offers memorable activities to deepen visitors' connections with the breathtaking jungle surroundings and the local Ngobe people. Guests can go on guided hikes with Ngobe Indians, observing wildlife and learning about medicinal plants, or stumble upon rock pools that have formed a natural Jacuzzi. Guests are offered a variety of exciting opportunities for adventure such as snorkeling, diving, overnight home-stays, surfing, sailing, Ngobe and Caribbean crafts and cooking classes, bird watching, and more. The small number of guests ensures a unique and personalized experience, defined by intimacy and a sense of peace and wellbeing in a remarkable tropical setting.
