Tranquilo Bay is a luxurious escape nestled in the rainforest, overlooking the Caribbean Sea and the beautiful Panamanian Jungle.
The central location of Tranquilo Bay's cabanas within the archipelago of Bocas del Toro, enables visitors to explore some of the most biologically diverse areas of Panama and Central America. Visitors can choose to fish, snorkel, embark on nature walks and jungle adventures, or simply relax on the beach and soak in the paradise that surrounds them. In this tropical haven of colorful coral reefs, cool ocean breezes, and hidden lagoons, there is only one thing to do: enjoy life.
Making a Difference:
Tranquilo Bay is constructed using renewable and recyclable materials including steel and concrete, which do not require extensive maintenance nor replenishment on a regular basis.
The resort acquires food in bulk, bakes their own bread and desserts, and grows fruit and herbs on site. Additionally, the property composts waste, maintains a water catchment and purification system, provides water conservation education to guests and employees, and plants trees to increase self-suffiency. Along with these efforts demonstrating Tranquilo Bay's dedication to environmental conservation, the resort works with nearby indigenous communities to establish over 500 acres of reserve land next to Tranquilo Bay and Bastimentos National Marine Park.
